This manga was written and drawn by the same person who did USHIO to TORA. It was probably one of the first more "gruesome" manga I have ever read in my life. (I was only 8 at the time!) The drawings are not cutesy like TO RU LOVE and there isn't a lot of fan service. I read it for the story. I have to admit, after reading and watching over 200 + anime and manga in my life, I crave for something more "original". You have to be patient with this one because it'll slowly get darker and good. WINK. USHIO TO TORA is also good from my perspective.
